CMAT 2019 is on 28th Jan, 2019

CMAT 2019 registration will start on 1st Nov, 2018 and the test will be conducted by NTA on 28th Jan, 2019. Read on to know about important CMAT dates, eligibility, test patterns, and marking system.

The registration for Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) will open on 1st November, 2018 and will continue till 30th November, 2018.  The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the CMAT on 28th January, 2019, and the admit card will be available for download from 7th January, 2019. The CMAT results will be declared on 10th February, 2019.

 

Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a national level entrance examination for entry into management programmes.  Till last year, it was conducted by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) as per the directions of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India.  However, it will now be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). 

 

The CMAT is a three (3) hour computer based online test which is conducted in a single session to evaluate the candidate's ability across various segments like Quantitative Technique, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension and General Awareness.  The CMAT score is accepted by all AICTE-Approved Institutions/University Departments/Constituent Colleges/Affiliated Colleges.

 

Eligibility criteria for CMAT

 

— Applicant must be a citizen of India

— Applicants must be Graduates in any discipline from a recognized institute

— Final year students of Graduate Courses (10+2+3) whose result will be declared before commencement of admission for academic year 2018-19 can also apply for CMAT online exam

 

 

CMAT 2019 Syllabus

 

NTA has not proposed any changes to the CMAT 2019 syllabus from the last year, therefore, aspirants will be able to breath easy!  However, test takers must be aware of the pattern of the exam, which is mentioned below — 

 

CMAT 2019 Test Pattern

 

— The CMAT 2019 will be Online
— Test duration will be 3 hours
— Test language will be in English, Hindi or Regional Language
— Total number of Questions will be 100
— Maximum Marks will be 400
— Negative Marks - for every incorrect answer,  -1 mark
— For every correct answer, the test taker will get 4 marks

CMAT 2019 Syllabus

 

It consists of the 4 important sections as quoted above, covering the topics as below — 

 

Quantitative Aptitude:  Number Systems, Ratio & Proportion, Time & Distance, Time & Work, Profit & Loss, Percentage, Pipes & Cistern, Algebra, Geometry, Mensuration, Quadratic & Linear Equation, Line graph, Pie Chart, Bar Graph, and Partnership.

 

Logical and Analytical Reasoning: Linear Arrangements, Statements Arguments & Assumptions, Sequencing, Matrix Arrangements, Number Series, Analogy Test, Blood Relations, Coding and Decoding, Inferences, Statements and Conclusion, Non-Verbal Reasoning, Symbol Based Problems, Direction, Distance, and Ranking.

 

English: Vocabulary, Para Jumble, Paragraph Completion, Error finding, One- word Substitution, Synonyms & Antonyms, and Reading Comprehensions.
