In our newest series of articles, we will publish a list of top-20 B-schools in India, based on many important parameters. In the first article of this series, we are listing the top-20 B-Schools in India, based on Salary.
Several factors go in before making a decision on a b-school destination. Some of the important ones are placement record, graduating salary, class-composition, diversity, faculty quality, b-school infrastructure, program reputation and alumni strength – just to name a few. However, of all these factors, the most commonly sought after data is the placement record.
No wonder, then, that many b-schools claim to have successfully completed 100% placement! That makes for a beautiful catch-phrase. However, it would be a mistake to take all such claims at the face value.
Latest data by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) – a major statutory body that accredits postgraduate management education in India, shows that only 36% of the enrolled students for the class of 2017 could be placed. Although, this data is only for the AICTE approved b-schools, a similar story will emerge for non-affiliated b-schools too, unless they are the top B-schools.
With this background in mind, we are launching a series of articles, showcasing the “Top 20 B-Schools in India”.
The first one among the series is “Top-20 B-Schools in India based on the Average Graduating Salary (2017)”.
IIM Calcutta, and IIM Lucknow did not report an average graduating salary. However, they are too important b-schools to ignore from this list.
