IIM Calcutta secures 17th rank globally
Indian Institute of Management Calcutta has secured the 17th rank globally in the FT Master in Management Rankings 2019. IIM Calcutta has improved its overall ranking, as it has jumped up six places, from 23rd position last year to stand at 17th position this year, globally among the top MBA colleges, for its 2-Year Masters in Business Administration (earlier Post Graduate Programme in Management). The premium institute is leading the way among the five Indian B-Schools listed in the rankings.
FT Rankings 2019: Key Observations for Indian B Schools
As mentioned already, IIM Calcutta has jumped up six places to bag the 17th position in FT Rankings 2019. IIM Ahmedabad has fallen to 21st place from last year’s 19th. Globally, IIM Bangalore has been placed at 44th position. The two new entrants included in the list from India are IIM Udaipur at 76th rank and IIM Indore at 81st rank.

Among the parameters that the ranking was focused on, IIM Calcutta did better than the other Indian institutes on categories such as:

Apart from the above list, the other parameters that are considered for the rankings are value for money ranking, aims achieved by alumni on taking the course, career services ranking, employability among students within three months of completing the course, involvement of women in the institute’s board, international student in-take and so on.
